The National Technical University of Athens (N.T.U.A.) successfully participated in the European Universities Championships (EUSA Championships) 2025, a leading institution of university sports at the European level.
The martial arts competitions (Taekwondo, Judo) were held in Warsaw, Poland (August 21–26), with the participation of more than 1,400 student–athletes from 32 countries. The 3x3 Basketball Championship took place in Salerno, Italy (July 31–August 6), gathering 250 athletes from 44 universities and 17 countries.
A notable distinction was achieved by NTUA student–athlete Dimitrios Barbas, who won 2nd place in the Dunk Contest, impressing with his athletic performance and technical excellence.
The participation of NTUA in the event once again highlighted the quality, integrity, and dedication of its students, while promoting Greek university sports internationally. At the same time, the University received special recognition from the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports for its active and commendable presence in the competition.
In this way, the ongoing commitment of the NTUA Academic Community to promoting the well-rounded development of its students is reaffirmed — through participation in major international events that showcase sports as an integral part of university life.
Warm congratulations to our student–athletes.
