Πρόσφατα ολοκληρώθηκε η προμήθεια και η εγκατάσταση εργαστηριακών οργάνων στα Εργαστήρια Μεταλλογνωσίας και Ναυπηγικής Τεχνολογίας των Σχολών Μεταλλειολόγων-Μεταλλουργών Μηχανικών και Ναυπηγών Μηχανολόγων Μηχανικών, αντίστοιχα.

Το Εργαστήριο Μεταλλογνωσίας εξοπλίστηκε με Φασματόμετρο Οπτικής Εκπομπής (Τ4 Spark OES) το οποίο  αποτελεί ιδανική λύση για εργαστηριακούς και βιομηχανικούς ελέγχους ποιότητας, προσφέροντας γρήγορη και αξιόπιστη ανάλυση κρίσιμων στοιχείων σε μεταλλικά υλικά.

Στο Εργαστήριο Ναυπηγικής Τεχνολογίας εγκαταστάθηκε σύγχρονο  Σύστημα Ψηφιακής Μεταλλογραφικής Μικροσκοπίας  καθώς και Αυτόματη Συσκευή Ηλεκτρολυτικής Λείανσης και Χημικής Προσβολής  Μεταλλικών Υλικών. Η νέα αυτή υποδομή, ενισχύει  σημαντικά  τις   δυνατότητες   του Εργαστηρίου  στη μελέτη της μικροδομής των υλικών.

Η προμήθεια και η εγκατάσταση του νέου εξοπλισμού καλύφθηκε από το Πρόγραμμα «Πανεπιστήμια Αριστείας» του ΥΠΑΙΘΑ και το συνολικό κόστος ανήλθε στο ποσό των 115.537€.

Πρόσκληση Εκδήλωσης Ενδιαφέροντος  στο πλαίσιο της Πράξης με τίτλο «Απόκτηση Ακαδημαϊκής Διδακτικής Εμπειρίας στο Εθνικό Μετσόβιο Πολυτεχνείο για το ακαδημαϊκό έτος 2025-2026»,εαρινό εξάμηνο,  ΥΠ1 Απόκτηση Ακαδημαϊκής Διδακτικής Εμπειρίας σε νέους/νέες επιστήμονες κατόχους διδακτορικού, Ακαδημαϊκού Έτους 2025-2026, ΕΜΠ MIS 6034628» Σχολής Αγρονόμων Τοπογράφων Μηχανικών - Μηχανικών Γεωπληροφορικής, με επιστημονικό Υπεύθυνο τον Αντιπρύτανη Ακαδημαϊκών Υποθέσεων και Διά Βίου Εκπαίδευσης, Καθ. Α. Ζήση.

Tην Τρίτη 2 Δεκεμβρίου 2025, το Ιατρικό Τμήμα του Εθνικού Μετσόβιου Πολυτεχνείου πραγματοποίησε ενημερωτική δράση με θέμα την πρόληψη και την αντιμετώπιση φυσικών καταστροφών, σε συνεργασία με την ΕΔΟΚ – Εθελοντική Διασωστική Ομάδα Κρίσεων. Η δράση υλοποιήθηκε στον χώρο του Κλειστού Γυμναστηρίου του Τμήματος Φυσικής Αγωγής και απευθυνόταν σε όλα τα μέλη της Πολυτεχνειακής Κοινότητας.

Σκοπός της δράσης ήταν η ενημέρωση και εκπαίδευση του κοινού σχετικά με την ετοιμότητα, την πρόληψη και τις ενδεδειγμένες πρακτικές αντίδρασης σε περιστατικά έκτακτης ανάγκης που προκύπτουν από φυσικές καταστροφές. Οι συμμετέχοντες είχαν την ευκαιρία να ενημερωθούν σχετικά με κρίσιμες αρχές αυτοπροστασίας και τεχνικές αντιμετώπισης κινδύνων.

Την παρουσίαση πραγματοποίησε ο Πρόεδρος της ΕΔΟΚ, κ. Παντελής Καστρινάκης, ο οποίος τόνισε τη σημασία της σωστής προετοιμασίας και της ενεργού συμμετοχής των πολιτών στη διαχείριση κρίσεων.

Το Ιατρικό Τμήμα του ΕΜΠ εκφράζει τις θερμές του ευχαριστίες προς την ΕΔΟΚ για την πολύτιμη συνεργασία και δεσμεύεται να συνεχίσει τη διοργάνωση δράσεων που ενισχύουν την ενημέρωση, την πρόληψη και την ασφάλεια της πανεπιστημιακής κοινότητας.

The Medical Division of the National Technical University of Athens, in collaboration with the Choose Life Foundation, held on Tuesday, November 25, at the Multimedia Amphitheater, a particularly warm and encouraging informational event about bone marrow donation.

The event included a briefing on the procedure for registering in the global pool of volunteer donors, as well as on the steps followed in the event a compatible recipient is found. An open discussion with the audience followed, further strengthening the atmosphere of trust and awareness.

Particularly moving were the personal testimonies of a volunteer donor and an NTUA student who had been diagnosed with leukemia, underwent a transplant, and is now healthy—one of the 42 people who have benefited thanks to the actions of Choose Life. After the speeches, those interested had the opportunity to register as volunteer donors.

On Tuesday, December 2, 2025, the Medical Department of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) held an informational event on the prevention and management of natural disasters, in collaboration with EDOK – the Volunteer Crisis Rescue Team. The event took place at the Indoor Gymnasium of the Department of Physical Education and was open to all members of the Polytechnic community.

The purpose of the event was to inform and educate the public about preparedness, prevention, and appropriate response practices in emergency situations arising from natural disasters. Participants had the opportunity to learn about essential self-protection principles and risk-management techniques.

The presentation was delivered by the President of ΕΔΟΚ, Mr. Pantelis Kastrinakis, who emphasized the importance of proper preparation and active citizen involvement in crisis management.

The Medical Department of NTUA extends its warm thanks to EDOK for the valuable collaboration and reaffirms its commitment to continuing the organization of events that promote awareness, prevention, and safety within the university community.

The National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) has signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with ΕΛΚΕΜΕ, the Research and Development (R&D) Center of the Viohalco companies, as part of the ongoing collaboration that has been developed by both sides. The aim of the cooperation is to strengthen and further promote initiatives and programs in the fields of education, research, innovation, and professional development.

Referring to the signing of the memorandum, the Rector of NTUA, Professor Ioannis ChatJigeorgiou, noted:

“Our goal is a Polytechnic open to society, outward-looking, with creative synergies and collaborations with distinguished institutions that share our vision of excellence, commitment to the younger generation and future scientists, innovation, and sustainable development. The signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation between NTUA and Viohalco, one of the country’s most historic industrial groups with a decisive contribution to Greece’s industrial and technological progress, is an important step for our Institution. It substantially strengthens the bridge that connects higher education and academic excellence with the economy and the labor market, for the benefit of the new generation of engineers. NTUA and the Viohalco companies, as well as ELKEME, have a long tradition of collaboration, and today’s agreement formalizes and further reinforces this long-standing relationship of trust.”

Mr. Kimon Daniilidis, General Director of ΕΛΚΕΜΕ, stated:
“The signing of the memorandum of cooperation constitutes the cornerstone of a substantial connection between industry and the academic community, in this case with NTUA. The activation of this cooperation will leverage the deep knowledge and experience of both sides, giving further impetus to the development of the sector while also supporting the effort to retain outstanding domestic scientific talent.”

Indicatively, emphasis is placed on:

• Partnerships in research in the fields of Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Energy, and Architectural Design.
• Partnerships and promotion of innovative ideas and proposals in the fields of Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Energy, and Architectural Design.
• Development of Industrial Doctorates.
• Creation of Professional Postgraduate Programs.
• Opportunities for student internships and employment of NTUA graduates in Viohalco companies.
• Provision of scholarships to outstanding students and graduates.

The installation of a total of 60 outdoor waste bins in the Zografou Campus has been completed, replacing all the old, rusted and damaged ones. Bins will also be installed in our Historic Complex.

Regardless of their presence, however, it is the responsibility of all of us to create and maintain a clean, functional and respectable environment for the entire Polytechnic community.

Με αφορμή την Παγκόσμια Ημέρα κατά του AIDS/HIV (1η Δεκεμβρίου), ολοκληρώθηκε χθες, Πέμπτη 4 Δεκεμβρίου 2025, η ενημερωτική δράση που πραγματοποιήθηκε στον χώρο του Ιατρείου της Πολυτεχνειούπολης. Στόχος της πρωτοβουλίας ήταν η ενίσχυση της ενημέρωσης και ευαισθητοποίησης της Πολυτεχνειακής κοινότητας γύρω από ζητήματα που αφορούν τον HIV/AIDS. Η δράση υλοποιήθηκε από το Παράρτημα Αθηνών της Επιστημονικής Εταιρείας Φοιτητών Ιατρικής Ελλάδας (ΕΕΦΙΕ), σε συνεργασία με τη Διεύθυνση Μέριμνας και τη Διεύθυνση Διοικητικού.

Στο πλαίσιο της δράσης, το Athens Checkpoint παρείχε δωρεάν rapid test για την ανίχνευση του HIV, ενώ η επιστημονική επίβλεψη πραγματοποιήθηκε από την κ. Μήνα Ψυχογυιού, Καθηγήτρια Παθολογίας Λοιμώξεων του ΕΚΠΑ. Φοιτητές και προσωπικό του ΕΜΠ είχαν την ευκαιρία να ενημερωθούν για θέματα πρόληψης, έγκαιρης διάγνωσης και σύγχρονων θεραπευτικών προσεγγίσεων.
