Libraries and Reading Rooms
N.T.U.A.
is currently estimated to have a total number of 200.000
volumes of books coming from purchases, donations and research
projects, and over 80.000 volumes of scientific reviews.
Books and reviews are available either from the Central
Library of the Institution or from the Libraries of the
Faculties, the Departments and the Labs.
Central
Library : The Central Library started operating
in 1914. It serves the N.T.U.A teaching staff and students,
as well as the scientists or students of other Universities.
It is a lending Library for the N.T.U.A. students and is
housed in two different places:
Patission Central Library is located in a newly
reformed hall on the 5th floor of the building of Mechanical
Engineering covering a surface of 600 cm. Open all working
days 08:00 am - 18:00 pm.

The Zographou Central Library is located in Zographou
Campus. Open all working days 08:00 am - 18:00 pm.

The Historical Library of N.T.U.A. located in the
basement of the Administration Building in Zographou. It
contains 55.000 volumes of old books and magazines of N.T.U.A.
dated up to 1950. This Library is not a lending one, but
the students can have photocopies of the texts they are
interested in. Open all working days 08:00 am - 18:00 pm.

Libraries of Faculties and Departments
These libraries contain about 100.000 volumes of books
and 30.000 to 40.000 volumes of scientific reviews. Well
organized libraries - reading rooms can be found in the
Faculties of Surveying and Electrical engineering, in the
Departments of Physics, Mathematics and Mechanics, and in
the Study room of History and Arts. They serve members of
the Teaching Staff, researchers and N.T.U.A. students, usually
between 09:00 am and 14:00 pm
