NTUA's Organization chart

A. The Senate
The Senate supervises the overall Institution's function in compliance with the state laws as the Institution's internal regulations. It forms the Institution's educational and research policy, its stragetic planning development, and reports on its regular activities. Moreover, it is in close cooperation with various Greek and foreign Universities, as well as other scientific and cultural institutions.

B. The Rectorial Council
The Rectorial Council, consisting of 5 members, deals with the everyday affairs of N.T.U.A and is also responsible for the implementation of the Senate's decisions.

C. Senate committees
The following nine Senatorial Committees support the Senate in its duties and co-ordiante the various activities of the Institution:

  1. The Undergraduate Studies Committee
  2. The Postgraduate Studies Committee
  3. The Continuing Education Committee
  4. The Committee of the University Premises And Facilities
  5. The Library Committee
  6. Computer's and Network Committee
  7. The Committe of Internal Bylaws and Guidelines
  8. The Committe of the Technological Park Of Lavrio
  9. The Committee of the University Publications

In addition to the Senate Committees, the following two important Committees have to be mentioned:

  • Asylum Committe
    The Academic Asylum committee was formed in order to protect scientists and students whose ideas were not in harmony with those of the state. Today the Asylum Committe is responsible for maintaining the democratic ideas according to the state laws.

  • Research Committe
