A new release of the Cryptix JCE is available. This one avoids the UnsupportedOperationException when using ElGamal and RSA/PKCS#1.

A newer snapshot for Cryptix OpenPGP has been out for a while, but this page was never updated to reflect this. Amongst other fixes and new feature s, it solves the problem with verifying signatures.

A new Cryptix JCE snapshot has been uploaded. The most notable new feature is JDK 1.4 compatibility.

A security problem with ElGamal encryption was discovered in the Cryptix JCE release two days ago. Please upgrade your version to the newest snapshot. A new snapshot of Cryptix OpenPGP has also been released.

New snapshots of both Cryptix JCE and Cryptix OpenPGP have been released. The new OpenPGP snapshot now fully supports encryption/decryption.

Rijndael has been chosen as the Advanced Encryption Standard. Cryptix responds by releasing it's Rijndael Java source code in the public domain. Read our press release.

Cryptix 3.1.3 and 3.2.0 have been released. Most notable new features: support for the new AES: Rijndael and support for JDK 1.3 (version 3.2.0 only).

A new snapshot of the Cryptix JCE has been released. It contains the classes and methods needed to be JCE 1.2.1 compliant.

17 May 2000
Cryptix 3.1.2 has been released. This is mainly a bugfix release.

Cryptix JCE 1.2 has been renamed to Cryptix JCE in antipation of release in the next month.

A new alpha release (6th) of the Cryptix ASN.1 Kit is now available for download.

Please welcome our new developer: Keith Burdis. He brought a very interesting project with him and released an alpha version today: Cryptix SASL.

A new Cryptix JCE 1.2 snapshot is available. Try this if you want a sneak preview of our upcoming JCE 1.2. This snapshot supports both JDK 1.1 and JDK 1.2.

Cryptix 3.1.0 is released! This long awaited update adds Java 2 (JDK 1.2) compatibility, fixes some nasty bugs and features PGP 2.x support.
