Architecture must reconciliate with the idea of continuous redefinition of her identity and boundaries. She has to accept a changing reality and house a tension leading to new ways of perceiving, thinking and designing space. With no reference to a "flexible" architecture, trying to form a predefined system responding to all possible changes, architecture has to accept her continuous transformation, her future actualization towards spaces not includes in a priori design schemes. |

Διάλεξη με θέμα: του Δημήτρη Παπαλεξόπουλου Η παρουσίαση αρχιτεκτονικών έργων του Δ. Παπαλεξόπουλου, υλοποιημένων και μη, θα γίνει αφορμή για αναφορά στον τρόπο με τον οποίο οι ψηφιακές τεχνολογίες επαναπροσδιορίζουν την τοπικότητα. Ο όρος «ψηφιακός τοπικισμός» προτείνεται για ένα άνοιγμα της συζήτησης για μια σύγχρονη επιστροφή στον τόπο και την υλικότητα, μέσα από τις ψηφιακές τεχνολογίες. Σκιαγραφεί μια σύγχρονη, δυσεπίλυτη ένταση μεταξύ της εμμονής στον προσδιορισμό της ταυτότητας ενός τόπου και της ταυτόχρονης, αναπόφευκτης, διάσπασής του σε πλήθος από δέσμες δικτύων που ενεργά συμμετέχει και τον επηρεάζουν. Είναι δυνατόν η αποδοχή αυτής της έντασης να γίνει στοιχείο του προγράμματος ενός έργου; Πως αποδεχόμαστε την ασάφεια ως προγραμματικό στοιχείο; Μπορεί να εκφραστεί στην τελική διαμόρφωση του αρχιτεκτονικού έργου; Υπάρχει περιθώριο για την διατύπωση ενός «νέου λειτουργισμού», που τοποθετείται κριτικά «πέραν» της μητροπολιτικής αρχιτεκτονικής; Τα ερωτήματα ανοίγονται αυτή την φορά, όχι μέσα από έναν αυτόνομο θεωρητικό λόγο, αλλά μέσα από αφηγήσεις σχεδιασμού και υλοποίησης συγκεκριμένων αρχιτεκτονικών έργων, που διατηρούν μια ιδιάζουσα αμφίδρομη σχέση με την διατύπωση γενικευμένων θέσεων.
